The starting point
Superwurm sells worm compost and garden products in a shop built on Next.js. Besides the range, there are many category and guide pages. On mobile, the homepage took 3.9 seconds, and every page change cost time again.
On mobile, visitors decide within seconds whether to stay. Every second of waiting costs conversions – and with paid traffic, ad budget too. On top of that, Google rates load time through the Core Web Vitals.
The challenge
Not just the homepage had to be fast, but every click – across all the category and guide pages.

What we did
Render-blocking JavaScript reduced and the load order re-prioritised.
Why it works: The browser loads what is needed in the visible area first. Scripts and content further down follow without blocking the page from rendering.
